It is early Christmas Day 2025, and a rainy winter storm is howling into Northern California. It may seem an odd day to launch a website to commemorate Harry A. Jansen, who rose to worldwide fame as Dante the Magician. It makes more sense, perhaps, knowing that Harry Jansen and Edna Herr’s youngest daughter Mary was born on Christmas.
This is the third working version of the site, two earlier attempts having been torpedoed by hackers or malware. With the security kinks worked out, the author said hopefully, the question turns to site content or lack thereof. As tribute websites go, this one is not yet ready for prime time, but with proper care and networking it can get there.
